The Samsung Galaxy M30 will boast a SuperAMOLED display panel and a triple camera setup.

fter years of dominance in the Indian smartphone market, Samsung is now struggling to keep up with Xiaomi’s disruptive pricing and has lost its pole position to the Chinese smartphone maker. To gain its dominance back and take on Xiaomi’s offerings in the mid-range, Samsung revised its priorities and recently launched the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 in India. The two devices have been fairly successful and now, Samsung is all set to release the third smartphone in the series – Galaxy M30 – later this month.

After a series of speculations, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy M30 will be unveiled in India on February 27. While the Galaxy M30 will be identical to the Galaxy M20 in many aspects, the distinguishing features include a triple camera at the back and a Super AMOLED Full HD+ Infinity-U display, unlike the TFT LCD displays on the Galaxy M20 and the Galaxy M10. As per the teaser, the smartphone will be sold online exclusively via Amazon India.

Samsung Galaxy M30 is set to launch in India on February 27, the company confirmed on Monday. The South Korean company also revealed that unlike the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 that both featured Infinity-V Display panels, the Galaxy M30 will come with an Infinity-U Display. The display panel on the new model will also be the Super AMOLED one — unlike the LCD panel available on the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20. The company also mentioned the display size of the Galaxy M30.

Samsung Galaxy M30 specifications (expected)

Specifications of the Galaxy M30 aren’t confirmed yet. However, a previous report claimed that there will be a full-HD+ (1080×2220 pixels) display and an Exynos 7904 SoC, along with 4GB of RAM. We can expect Samsung to fit the M30 with a great display, just like it did with the M10 and M20. The Galaxy M30 will likely feature a SuperAMOLED display instead of the TFT LCD panels found in the Galaxy M10 and M20.

The Samsung Galaxy M30 is expected to be powered by the latest Exynos 7904 processor. Notably, the new Exynos 7904 processor already powers the Galaxy M20 smartphone. It is also rumored that the Galaxy M30 will house a 5000 mAH battery like the Galaxy M20. However, the company is yet to confirm the same.

Further, Galaxy M30 will sport a 6.4-inch SuperAMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The triple-lens camera set up at the back is expected to come with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and two other 5-megapixel sensors. It is suggested that the smartphone will pack 6GB of RAM.

Samsung launched the ‘Made in India’ Galaxy M series in India late last month. The series comprises Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones. Galaxy M10 has at a starting price of Rs 7,990, while Galaxy M20’s starting price is Rs 10,990. Both the handsets offer Infinity-V display.
